WannaCry is a ransomware virus. What this means is that it takes all of your files and encrypts them and makes you pay to get it back.

WannaCry 1 was shut down but they released a new one without a kill switch meaning that it cannot be stopped unless you fix the issue within windows.

NSA was stupid enough to keep these exploits and this is what happened....

Do all updates on windows servers or computers to avoid this issue.

Also if it somehow pops up in your pc then can someone explain how its possible to infect a pc without having any sort of connection with it? SMB packets scan your network. Meaning it can execute the code on any device on that network
