Ok so i5 Core or the i7 Core heard that the difference is only about 20-50FPS.

i dont know anything about i5 or i7, all i know i that i have the i7-4770

An i5 will handle pretty much any game you throw at it with impressive results.
But if you're looking for a gaming pc then the bulk of your budget should go towards a graphics card(s) as that makes the biggest difference especially for newer titles.
