TOPIC: We need to get damage logs

I have been in many sits because of people RDMing me and every single time I said to an admin "check the damage logs because (insert name here) shot me first". Every time I would get a reply saying "we dont have damage logs so I can't do anything about it". Really guys? We need damage logs this will dramatically reduce the percentage of RDM reports as the RDMers will actually get dealt with because right now there's an RDMer lurking around every corner.

This got requested alot of times, and always got denied.

Always have and always will be denied due to the logs being spammed and thus causing lag.

Just record or take pictures for proof. OBS is a good software to record.

Sits about rdm are dealt with fine, the logs we currently have are more than enough, as people say over and over again, it would lag the server, it has always been suggested, it has always been denied, end of.

While damage logs may solve the odd "RDM" F1 you have to remember that the logs are always running, Server 1 at peak time will have an insane amount of "damage logs"; while this may work well on smaller servers this would be pretty much a shit fest on Zarp.

Either the logs will have to clear regularly, which makes them useless beyond a certain point, or the server would have to put more "umph" into the logs, having an impact on the server as a whole (Source hitboxes are bad enough, adding more lag will just fuck with the server even more)

Rather than relying on the server to help you, help the staff team and start recording, I recommend plays.tv
