I'm planning on building a new pc this year and this is what I have in mind.
CPU: i5 6600k Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170 K3 Gaming Ram: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo GPU: MSI 1070 Aero PSU and Case are being carried over from my current pc Any suggestions on how i can improve it? My budget is around 800 GBP ($1000) Thanks for the help |

Sounds like a really solid choice. But I really hope you have a SSD since before. An SSD does not really improve your game performance, but it will make your computer feel faster overall, startup, internet browsing, copying stuff, starting programs. And SSD is the cheapest but biggest impact upgrade I think you can do to a system.
The CPU is a great choice, it is cheap and the more expensive ones barely get any better from a game performance stand point. The cooler is also great unless you plan to do heavier overclocking. I manage to overclock my I7 3770k from 3.5ghz to 4,2ghz and maintain <80 degrees under full load with that cooler. |

If you got the extra cash, I'd buy a AIO water cooling loop for your CPU, Corsair make some great AIO coolers.
Other than that it's a pretty decent looking build, the Hyper 212 is just a bit crappy though. |
