Well according to special relativity, objects moving at speeds greater than 90% of the speed of light experience differences in mass, length and time.
If I had to travel 50KM (we'll use 50000 meters for our calculation) and it took me 4 hours, I'd be travelling 3.47ms
-1 on average.
If it took me 30 seconds, I'd be travelling 1666 ⅔ms

The speed of light in metres/second is 299,792,458ms
