TOPIC: Good recording software ?

Hello guys !

i'd like to ask you if you know good recording software so i can record rulebreakers because im sick of 8yrs old kids telling me to kill myself on mic and then i get the warn for rd.. i mean killing them , people rdming me for fun and more and more..

I suggest shadow play! It is running in the background and you can click a key combination to record the last five minutes! Really usefull for recording rulebreakers!

Hello. I suggest you use ShadowPlay (you need to have an NVIDIA Graphics Card). Also, you shouldn't kill players that disrespect you as it's against the rules. Try to get a recording of them speaking that way and make an F1 in game and they'll be punished! If it was through chat then you're lucky as a screenshot is enough

shadowplay cant detect gmod to my games ?

Depending on your graphics card, if you have Nvidia, ShadowPlay is one of the best, runs in the background, doesn't effect any performance and obviously you can record the past 10 minutes, so would be useful for rulebreaks.

Now for AMD, there's a simular program to ShadowPlay called Raptur, not Raptur uses Plays.tv, this effectivly works the same as ShadowPlay recording the past 10 minutes or to how ever long you set it.

If you're looking for a program to record purley, then a good free option is OBS, to configure it there is many tutorials on YouTube.

I find it really useful since you can set it to automatic recording, like shadowplay.

Used shadowplay for ages. The instand replay is very useful.

I have Used 2 different recording software's that are the best. They are OBS and Shadowplay. They both have their pros and cons. OBS is good because the flv file size is very small and the application takes less resources on your computer, but on the other side not many software's let you edit with it and the quality is not good if you don't set it up right.Shadow play is great because it also does not use a lot of system resources and you can just record X amount of minutes in the past , stream or record manually and with the beta you can trim and upload to youtube without leaving the overlay, on the negative side th emp4 file size is a little big if you record a lot .

It depends how far you're willing to go with editing (specifically multi-track audio sources). I personally use Shadowplay for simply recording evidence and player misconduct.

Jackfrags made an interesting video surrounding OBS studio to record with multi-track audio sources. Note, that it only works for users with Nvidia graphics cards above and including the 750Ti

I'd recommend plays.tv as it allows you to make clips from a session and upload them directly.

it depends on your pc, if you have a good-decent pc then you can use shadowplay or plays.tv but if its a low end pc then bandicam is your choice
