TOPIC: Pokemon Go

Hello there,

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past few days you have propably heard about the release of Pokemon GO, its a game where you can walk in trough the real world and come across pokemons which you can capture with pokeballs. It works with google maps and uses your GPS + WiFi/data. I have played it for a few hours now and I think its really fun.

Officially its only out in Australia now but if you are running an android device you can currently download the APK over here

I'm curious about if you guys already played it, catched pokemons, what team you have chosen etc. At the moment I'm already level 4, and I have captured 13 pokemon. No evolutions yet because its pretty expensive to evoluate a pokemon.



Because of people walking around there are also a lot of problems with people walking on other peoples property or not paying attention. A great example of this is from the popular youtuber Lancey who walked onto someones property to get close to a pokemon in order to catch it, followed by shots from the property owner fired at him.(source) There are also rumours about someone that got hit by a car while crossing a road and looking at his phone at the same time because there was a pokemon closeby and he wasn't paying attention to the car that was driving towards him.

Ive been searching for it but cannot find it (Im on iphone)

Hopefully it will be released on iphone and in other countries!

Anyone else here about the guy who had shots fired at him for playing it?

I heard you can install it on your Iphone by jailbreaking it or using an account from a country that already has it in the app store. Have you already tried using a VPN (not sure about that one though)

You don't really need to mess with your phone, you only need to make a new app store account with Australia/New Zealand as origin. After that you can download it and simply switch back to your normal account.

I already caught 5 pokemon while just sitting on my ass xD. There is a chance they just come to you, and there are items that work for 30 minutes and attract pokemon to you.

This is going to get so many people killed, problem is people will just get focused on the game and will be careless when walking outside tireing to catch them all...
I do have to admit that the game looks really fun and cant wait for it to release in europe

I'm A big pokemon fanboy so Im trying to get it for like 3 days since it came out on 4th july xD
