TOPIC: Tired of all this elitism.

Sadly, this will be another negative one from me, but this problem just seems to keep going. I am guilty of it myself from time to time, and it is ofcourse elitism; the idea that a skilled player is worth more than a less skilled one.

Skill is not what Zarp is about, Zarp is a social community that focuses on casual gamemodes, such as DarkRP. Its about making friends and having fun, not about dominating everyone else. The gameplay is merely entertainment, something to talk and connect around, and it is not the main purpose of video games.

Anyone that has enough time to invest can be skilled, and competing can be fun - dont get me wrong, competition is great aslong as it is kept on a non-personal level, but if winning is suddenly all you care about then you are doing something wrong.

The community seems to be so hostile nowadays, If someone dies on ssrp they will get a comment saying "nice aim" or an excited "Did i make you loose something?". Everyone wants to be the best at everything, and if someone has a bad aim on ssrp, bad jumps on deathrun or even just a lack of experience doing voluntary staff work, then they will be spit on and thrown to the trash.

I say we call a truce, i say we accept skill for what it is; pointless in the long run.

Choose your friends from their personality, not their skill, and remember to have fun!

I know what you mean but i don't think it's crossing the line saying, "rip hand cannon". I mean it's not really personal saying that. Especially considering the raiders are trying to make defenders lose their printers which is also worth money.

Whilst I fully understand what you mean and I agree with it this is something that is hard to change. Gaming is filled with people who want to be the best and people that want be competitive at all times and it's just a part of the gaming community in general at this point.

For me, I have a higher ping than anyone on the server and i have a slow mouse , This makes me not as good as others at combat and aims. When this happened to me, Most of the player that has a higher combat skills will start commenting and judging that im bad at the game. I really think that player cannot tell others that they are bad just because that are not good at aiming.

Zarp is solely about skill, nothing else. People shouldn't come here for a good time.

I have 479 thousand ping and play on -60 fps literally on a fucking toaster plugged into a Game Boy Advance screen but still onetap everyone on the server with one shot every time
