What's your opinion on the current CS:GO gambling controversy?
Well, a lot of people (including me) already had a suspicion, that most of the videos put on youtube and most famous streams are faked. As far as I'm concerned, the people that got exposed are M0e, for basically absolutely faking his reaction, since he got the rolls beforehand. Faze Clan, for basically getting these "coins" or whatever for free, and Tmartn and Syndicate, who basically were Gambling on a website that they're the owner of. (Which i pretty much think is pretty fishy too, so you could expect at least some videos to be fake from them aswell).
I find it absolutely disgusting, that "respected" people like Faze Clan and Syndicate (I don't really know Tmartn so can't really say anything about him) basically lied to their audience, which also tends to be a really young audience. The websites involved in my understanding are CSGOWild, CSGOdouble, CSGOLotto and CSGOdiamond. Unfortunately, everyone in this world just wants to get money, no matter the moral side of things.
BUT in my opinion, people are judging the people that are advertizing these websites way too much, I mean it's those websites that basically say "Hey, I am going to give you 10k per month if you advertize our site and we're gonna tell you the rolls aswell". Me as a producer, even though I do understand that no one would hire me, but solely me as a person, I would be happy to get 10k in my pocket for like 4 videos a month or showing it on stream once a week, even though it's bad, and i know that, It's a lot of money and unfortunately you need that to survive in todays world.
TL;DR: I think people are throwing way too much shade on the video content producers and leave the websites in the background and still gamble on them.
