As you can see from the title, tomorrow is the most important day in my life. Since the final exams are coming up.
System in Serbia:
Capitalist, thus it's shit. The way they make us work is just fucking hilarious, right? I'll quote my gf on this:
"I HONESTLY DON'T GET THE PEOPLE FROM THE GOVERNMENT
WHAT DO THEY EXPECT FROM US?
The first day, we had Serbian. That's four years, so for the test, we must study from the grammar books and literature books, which are two books, times four years, times one hundred pages, so 800 pages.
Second day, maths, so around six areas from maths, to do them perfectly, you must know at least fifty questions for every area, which means at least 300 questions that you have to do, not counting how some people don't know how to do every question, so he has to do more to figure it out, so around 350 questions.
Third day, that's combined, people in college don't even study as much as we do for this. We have geography, biology, history, which are three subjects, times four years, times one hundred pages, so one thousand two hundred pages, and we still don't know what's the "Basic" knowledge we should know. Physics times three years, times around fifty pages, even though fifty is an understatement, so one hundred fifty pages, and chemistry, which is insanely hard, two years, times fifty, again, an understatement, so one hundred. EVERYTHING BUNCHED UP TOGETHER IS 1450 PAGES, and when we ask what we should know, because 1450 is too much, they just say it's basic.
WHEN WE COMBINE SERBIAN, MATHS, AND THE COMBINED TEST, THAT'S 2600 PAGES.
How should we know what's basic, when even the teachers don't know what's basic, and in the newspapers, it seems as though half the politicians, singers, and the influential people have no clue on how to answer this. Also, in the time we need to study for the exams, we have to DETAILY study for eighth grade. How can a student that is fourteen, fifteen years old, do all that...
I mean, people get diarrhea because of this, should we put our health on the line because of this?!
And in the end, it comes to the exams, where the people who studied get around 8 or 9 points, DESERVED points, might I add, whilst someone who doesn't know anything, get's the same amount or even more than the students who study, because the supervisors let him do it because "He doesn't know much, let's not be hard on him.".
So why do the exams exist? The question now is...
Isn't it best that we all get realistic grades, and that we all get a break during 8th grade, so that people don't have to get put up through this..?"
Perfectly described, thanks, my communist beauty
I got 7,5/10 on Sebian, 9,25/10 on maths, now only the combined test left. I need around nine points to have a chance to enter. Wish me luck.
