TOPIC: Feeling like a hero

Hello guys today I met an old man on a bench who asked me to give him some money to buy her some food . I have 30 RON in my wallet and I thought to myself and to him. In my mind (Daim.. this old man need more money than me i give 10 RON... and after 4 seconds i changed my mind , and i give all my money). Ok I give him all my money and after i gave the money the old man told me "Thank you so much young boy of this money i can drink and eat something warm, but not for long time , thank you." after I heard this I was saddened because in Romania the system is corrupt. If I had some powers I would do something that nobody will not remain on the streets.

P.S: Is very hard here with the corrupts i hope for a better future... but i don't hope too much because in every day substract more.

I respect the fact that you helped him out but you have to remember, homeless people sometimes are on the street for drug abuse, or because they're alcoholics. I'm just saying that he could use the money to fuel his addictions which is very common.

It might have been better off to come back to him with some food you had bought with the money, so then you know it's definitely going to a good cause.

I'm not saying every homeless person is a drug addict or an alcoholic, but as we all know there are quite a few.
