TOPIC: Bad news

So, we booked tickets for me, my mum, my dad, and my brother to go on holiday. However, my mum has had cancer for a while and the doctor said she couldn't go. She told us to go without her and just have a good time.

So, we got here about 12 last night, and we just got some food and went to sleep. We wake up this morning, and my dad's got a message saying she's very sick and in hospital, and she's not going to get better. My dad has booked flights home for us tomorrow in hopes of seeing her before she passes.

I took her for granted. I expected her to just get better, because she's done it twice now, but now I feel terrible for not spending enough time with her. I wish I could just talk to her and see her happy a few more times.

TL;DR: Spend time with the people you love, because they could suddenly leave your life at any moment.
