When Germany invaded russia they went straight to stalingrad, They had a option to go south to caucasus but hitler Chose not to because he Wanted to take Stalingrad and erase its name, If they decided to go down to caucasus which had oil refineries
It would have increased their chances of winning, They hoped to getting to stalingrad before the winter but they failed, The russians are well prepared for winter warfare while the germans were not prepared at all, This pushed back germany.

Actually he tryed to invade Stalingrad because it was then the center of Russia so if he had invaded tat part whole Russia would have fallen

Actually no, Hitler wanted to invade the Caucasus all along because of the rich oil fields there. Hell, Hitler invaded the U.S.S.R. just because of resources, because of grain from the Eastern Bloc, and because of the Oil from the Caucasus, as well as the strategic opening from the Caucas to India and the Middle East. Stalingrad was just the main city towards the Caucasus, he had to take that city to have an opening towards the oil fields of Baku.
Army Group "South" (The Southern Nazi Armies in the U.S.S.R.) was devided into 2 groups. Army group "A", which was supposed to take Stalingrad, secure the thrust towards the Caucasus, and defend Army Group "B"'s thrust, and Army Group "B" was supposed to make the main thrust towards the oil fields. There were many skirmishes and battles on the Caucasus.
Also, it's not that Russians were prepared for Winter Warfare, I mean, they were better, but the difference is practically minimal, it's just that Soviet technology trumped Nazi technology. Search up the T-34 and KV-1 tank, V-2-34 engine, Antonov A-40, OF-34, also, read this thread:
And the battle for Stalingrad didn't push back Germany, the battle for Kursk did.

If he was a retard then why did the war last that long? According to you he was stupid
Because Hitler's generals are military geniuses. As soon as Hitler took full control of the Wehrmacht, they had mass losses, as well as almost no victories at all.

Read my reply to Mobile Task Force Gunner, and also, Stalingrad wasn't the center of Russia, it was just Hitler's favorite target for Propaganda, hell, it was named after Stalin himself. The center of Russia was Moscow, but because of Soviet Resistance and the mass concentration of KV-1 and T-34 tanks around Moscow, it was proven that a charge towards Moscow would prove suicidal, like the Battle for Moscow did.
