Application Guide
Hey guys, so i'm going to be making an in-depth guide on how to make a great looking, and awesome application. I'm curious to hear the communities response as to what I should put into this, I want it to help all players with their application formatting as well as the content in it.

All responses appreciated!

Links to text generators, spell checkers, etc.

Have a big section about activity, it still seems people don't understand that you need 2 weeks of activity (:

Include some things about basic BBCode to try and help people tidy up their applications e.g center, bold for titles, etc.

Sounds great I am sure you will do a great job what ever you do!

- Avoid eye-obliterating colors, example being Yellow. To see if a color is bad, just click "Preview" and see if you can read it without any difficulties or any pain to the eye.

- Make it all organized with spacing, I have seen many applications that don't have a single line of space in between two parts, and it looks so ugly.

- Make it beautiful and colorful so that people can be engaged in reading it.

- Highlight important parts of the app.

- Highlight the player names in example scenarios.

- DON'T Capitalize every word!

- Be cringe lol

I like the idea and make sure you put in there dont give up i see too many people who just give up when they get denied for the first time

Lmao either way how your application looks shouldn't be such a big deciding factor like using/not using the same color etc it's an application not a colouring book. Just keep it neat and tidy and make the sentences stand our from the titles etc. Just be organized and don't be a grade 2 child with colours.

I don't like the idea of making a guide for this.

Everyone's Application should be completely individual, you'll see alot of similar applications then & will make it difficult to see If someone actually puts alot of effort into it. Right now you can use really decent applications (based on design and content) as positives.. or negatives If it doesn't.

If you're zero creative and obviously don't put any effort into your Application you most likely don't deserve the position you're applying for.

People should use their common sense to know If their Application is good or not. No need for a Guide.
That's my opinion atleast.

I appreciate it that you're trying to help others but I'm not convinced, still dislike the idea.

Well in the end It's up to the leadteam to decide and I don't think It would be the end of the world If it turns out as I assume, so whatever. Just gonna repeat myself now, I really do appreciate your ideas and effort to help tho.

The person's application should come from their own ideas and their individuality so if someone makes a good application we can commend them , if you make a guide on how to make a good application , then no one gets that credit because there's a guide on it , if you know what I mean.

Having it in English usually helps... just saying.


Seriously though, Editing is a big thing for me, it isn't necessary but it makes a big difference. When we're spending hours going through apps do we really want to see another unedited boring application where it looks like they've made no effort? Before you even read it you think "this guys too lazy to make an effort in his app, will he be too lazy to do F1s?"
