The Red Army did contribute greatly to end the World War, like it or not. If they chose to keep the monument, it's their decision. It isn't a disgrace; yes maybe a lot of Polish people despise communism and whatnot, but that doesn't change the fact that they were liberated from the Nazis. Honestly, I agree that communism didn't work in the Eastern Bloc countries.

But it's because they were all under the control mostly of Khruschev and onwards, they didn't experience Stalin or Lenin.

Though, saying that, it did work better in some countries rather than in others, like for example, Eastern Germany was more democratic than Western Germany, and so a lot of communists are currently in Eastern Germany.

But yeah, this isn't about communism, but about the liberation. The liberation of a city does not equal communist propaganda.
