TOPIC: How to fix Sound Errors

So there are a lot of people complaining about the sound errors in the new update due to pirated content. The way to fix the sound issues is simple.

Go to your addons folder located in Program Files/SteamApps/steamapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons

Find the pirated content folder in the addons list

Go to the scripts folder and delete every sound file that has "sound" in the name in a text document format

Go to the sounds folder and delete every folder inside.

Launch Garry's Mod and you should be all set!

This will help a lot of players on all of the servers, thank you for contributing this!

Pls tell mee this gets rid of the galloping sound when i walk because i feel like im gonna whinnie like a horse

Didn't work for me, it just got rid of most of my sounds. Things like running, jumping, scrolling the menus all have no sound now.

FYI : Addons wont remove every sound you have

Fixed!

You don't delete any folders at all!

You go into the scripts folder, find anything named: game_sounds_ (something).txt and remove it.

Then go back into each folder and find something named: hudlayout.res remove that too.

Everything will be back to normal. Sounds, menus, crosshair.. everything.
