TOPIC: CS:GO Gameban

Yeah, I got a game ban. I want to ask a question, will this be lifted? Does it expire?

I will explain.

I played 3 casuals and 1 competitive, anyways in the middle of competitive it kicked me for something like "you have been convicted by overwatch"

I have no hacks btw.

Anyways, I went onto the main menu and it said:
Global Cooldown
You have been convicted by Overwatch - Majorly Disruptive.

I looked into it, and it said something about the overwatch being quite sensitive. So I checked through my processes and saw cheatengine.exe open. I assume that is the cause.

I talked to Seppe about me getting the ban, he said I need to wait for them to anticheat me. I don't understand that tbh.

So, what'll happen? Will I be unbanned?

You're account's pretty much useless for CSGO now.
You can't trade items from your CS inventory anymore and you're perma banned from all VAC secured servers.

You don't get overwatched for cheat engine, and you also shouldn't get VAC banned unless cheat engine is reading / writing memory to CS.

Just don't cheat too obvious if you don't want to get overwatched.

Minor disruptive / moderate cool down: This is a ban for ~1 month and is applied for griefers (intentionally ruining the game).
Majorly disruptive: Cheaters are usually permanently removed from the game.

Global ban means that you are banned forever, and it has nothing to do with cheat engine, but it has to do that people spectate one or more suspicious matches of you where you got reported, and then at the end they choose if they think you are hacking, if the majority says yes, then you will be banned. If you need to steal peoples fun, at least don't do it suspiciously.

Also just throwing in here that a VAC ban is almost NEVER invalid, so the people in this community that all say they got vac'ed without a reason are talking bullshit.

Dude, you hacked. Get over it now, I don't even know why you're making an excuse to you "not hacking". There's a 0.0001% chance that you'll actually get a VAC/Game Ban for something that you didn't do.

As far as I know, Steam Support doesn't reply to these tickets with positive attitude. However, professional players have a privilege. If you weren't cheating, it has a really low ratio to get banned, but it still does stay.

Depending on what you say is true, you can spam Steam Community with loads of tickets and hope for best.

PS: Steam's staff replies in a month, just saying
