TOPIC: FPS?

Anyone know how to fully optimize settings on Gmod so that it's not holding me back at 30 FPS?
Fairly new, but good gaming PC and basically, it's like it has VSYNC on? Anyone know how to get past like 90 FPS because on my other PC I get 288

What map and what are your specs?

It's generally both SSRP maps 1 & 2.

Processor: AMD A10-7870K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G (4 CPUs), ~3.9GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Windows 7

Well guys i can explain how Garry's Mod works. Well the Game engine is based on "DirectX 9" its kinda old engine and few things are outdated with your optimized. Garry's Mod isn't a good FPS game, its alot's of enitities on the map that slow down your FPS, Only way you can get your FPS little better only few FPS more 3-5 More FPS put your Settings to LOW but that wont help MUCH at all!. There is Nothing to fix the FPS Cuse there is to many Entity and And props on the map + Players!

DarkRP is just a Gamemode that have no part with Garry's mod todo


Just a thing to notice, If you have a old PC you should run on LOW Settings that willl help your FPS to be little better.


FPS = Frame Per Second

DirectX 9 = Engine Game Processor

Thanks Vitx, I think its basically just Garrys mod. With all the props and entities around..

I'll hook you up with this after I'm finished with the 970.

I got a 4690k and a new mobo sitting here waiting to be installed when I get my new case and cooler.
