General Guide on how to deal with a [SSRP Ban Request]
Hello, so I have decided to make a short quick and easy guide on how to deal with a SSRP ban request, this is mainly for new admins or even old ones who are deciding to start handling SSRP Ban Requests on the forums. This guide is going to cover on how you should review the request, how to handle it, and posting your verdict.
First off let’s get into the reviewing section of the post. You will make sure they are using the correct template that is located
Here
You will also make sure that it is properly filled out in the correct order and manor
(Example of a post that is untidy and not properly filled out)
Name - (What is the accused person's name?) I dont know his name he just killed me.
Steam-ID - (What is the accused person's Steam-ID?) (wrong steam id here)
Evidence of Steam-ID - (Screenshot or video of the accused players Steam-ID) I don’t have any screenshots or a video I have a friend who seen it happen
Server - (What server was this on?) SSRP Server 1
Time and date (CET) - (When did it happend?) idk sometime today
Other comments - (Anything else you want to add?) Yes this guy rdmed me and I lost a lot of guns and no admins are doing anything
Reason - (What rules did the person break?) RDM
Story - (What happened?) I was sitting in spawn and some Shop Owner came up with a m9k_LMG and killed me and I lost a bunch of guns
Proof - (Any proof (video or screenshot) that clearly shows what happened.) I have a witness no proof
(Example of a neat and tidy post and correctly filled out)
Name - (What is the accused person's name?) Bob
Steam-ID - (What is the accused person's Steam-ID?) (Players steam id here)
Evidence of Steam-ID - (Screenshot or video of the accused players Steam-ID) (Screenshot of steam id)
Server - (What server was this on?) SSRP Server 1
Time and date (CET) - (When did it happend?) 7 minutes ago
Other comments - (Anything else you want to add?) I was sitting at fountain collecting some presents and I got shot by a Citizen named “Bob” with a m9k_LMG and he said the reason of him killing me was because he wanted the presents himself.
Reason - (What rules did the person break?)RDM
Story - (What happened?) I was sitting at fountain collecting some presents and I got shot by a Citizen named “Bob” with a m9k_LMG and he said the reason of him killing me was because he wanted the presents himself.
Proof - (Any proof (video or screenshot) that clearly shows what happened.) (3 minutes long video of the RDM occuring) (Screenshot of him admitting in chat)
(These are examples not real reports made by players)
Let’s get into what you should look for when reviewing the ban request, first off you should look to see if another admin has handled it or has posted if the are handling it or not (If so leave it be) First you should read the name of the accused player and look if there is correct proof of the steam id. Then you should get onto how long ago it happened if it was recent or a little while ago, after that proceed to the story and read it and make sure you understand the situation and the story before handling the ban request and make sure it is a valid reason, after you have made sure of this and it is all a legitimate reason and the story is valid and makes sense, get along to the proof. The proof is evidence of the situation/rulebreak actually happening and comes in either a video or a screenshot (Videos are normally better) If the proof shows that the player actually broke a rule and the proof proves what happened is correct you may get along the the punishment stage. First you should think about what the accused player has done and think of a reasonable punishment for it, if possible discuss with other staff members to hear their opinions on the punishment and how it should be handled. If you agree on a reasonable punishment or you have figured one out yourself reply to the ban request stating that the proof is sufficient and you are going to punish this player by either talking to them, warning them or banning them depending on the situation and to the extent of the rulebreak, if you are not forum staff do not worry about trying to lock it a forum staff will eventually get around to doing it for you.
