TOPIC: 98th Anniversary of the October Revolution!

98 years ago today, on the 7th of November 1917, the Great October Socialist Revolution started.



During the period between 1861 and 1917, the Russian people faced many challenges and lived through bourgeois oppression.

Serfdom was abolished in Russia in 1861 by King Alexander II, and was replaced by something worse. The factory owners of the fields, the farms, and the land, made Russian workers work in extremely poor working conditions; they managed to make even poorer working conditions than the Feudal landlords that preceded them, and unlike the landlords; they were always there.

Russian Workers from 1861 to 1914 were the lowest paid people in all of Europe, and toiled in their work places for a minimum of 11 hours a day.

When World War I started, the Russian people were greatly unsatisfied by the Tsar's decision to enter the war. Nicholas II started mass executions of the unsatisfied populace who were gathering up supporters for the righteous and peaceful cause of ending the war, including Vladimir Lenin's own brother - Alexander Lenin.

The Russians were failing in the war. The Russian people were right to fear the war, as in German occupied Russia, families were divided. One part of a family in a village in German occupied Russia, and another in Russia itself. Russian Workers were now the worst treated in the entire world. Russians were forced to practical slavery, to sell their working strength and to work sometimes for 15-18 hours a day in poor working conditions, whilst being the worst paid in Europe by far - all because of the war, and labor needed to make all of the unneeded tanks, guns, shells, mortars, etc.. People literally needed carts of money because of the inflation to buy one single loaf of bread, they stood in gigantic lines streching for hours to get their pathetic little loaf of bread and meat.

This was too much, and the bloody tyrant that was the Tsar was doomed.



Lenin was still exiled in Switzerland by the time the February Revolution overthrew the Tsar, as he feared he would get killed either by the people loyal to the Tsar or the new bourgeois "Socialists" that came to power.

The incompetent failure that is Alexander Nevsky, who apparently had a goal for "more freedom" to the people, and who wanted to "give the people what they wanted", launched yet another failed offensive in the war, in which Russia already lost so much.

The people had enough, and Lenin heard of these atrocities committed both by the Tsar and by Nevsky.

Lenin started making many speeches, working tirelessly to truly bring the people what they wanted. The people then formed up and decided to spread the ideas of the great Lenin for full effect.

And in this period, Nevsky ordered his troops to open fire on a group of Bolshevik demonstrators in Petrograd. Lenin had to flee again, this time in Finland.



The people had too much. Lenin taught the people the right ways of communism and mass protests started. The October Revolution began.

The government collapsed because of their own incompetence and greed by staging a military coup, and then tried to ask the Bolsheviks to help. All Lenin had to do was to step in and rightfully take power. The government was peacefully overthrown, and the Russian Civil War started eventually, where Monarchists and Socialists tried to destroy everything Lenin did for the people, and they failed miserably, and in 1924, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was established.

Today marks a great day for all struggling proletariat, and for all the middle peasants and oppressed. This day marks the remembering of the great day in which the people of a nation ended mass repression and slavery.

I wish everyone today to have a good day. Everyone will eventually have the freedom they deserve.

Let the victorious banner of the great Lenin fly over us on the day that the eventual and final victory of Communism happens.

I could be wrong or you could of mentioned it but it was called the November revolution everywhere else because Russia used an out of date calendar the was 11 days behind (could be wrong about that tho)

That is true, but most people who call it the November Revolution call it so because it happened in November, and they know that the original name is actually the October Revolution as it is pretty peculiar for the October Revolution to happen in November, and so that name is remembered just because of that fact lol

Either my history book is wrong or you are wrong, but the October revolution was to throw down the tsar and launched a temporary government. After that there was the februari revolution which threw over the temporary government and gave Lenin his power.

And you just swapped the things, the February Revolution overthrew the Tsar and launched a temporary "Socialist" government led by Alexander Nevsky, whilst the October Revolution overthrew the bourgeois failure that is Nevsky and got Lenin into power.
