TOPIC: Failed aplication

I just wrote a really nice mod application
previewed it and edited it, I was just about
to post it when I noticed that it still said
"(we recommend at least 150 words)" I
personally thought that looked tacky and
so highlighted it and pressed backspace
on doing so my computer registered this
as being a backspace and so I instantly
lost it all, I really want to be ssrp mod but
I will have to wait another day as I want to
do something with my life today and that
had taken me the best part of 6 hours

If you make it again and post it early tomorrow it will still be in the meeting

When I write my applications, I always make sure to copy&paste it into a .txt file every once in a while.
Also, here's another tip, although it's not what we're discussing: Don't fill the Subject (name of topic) field until you're done, this helps prevent posting an unfinished application (this has happened to me several times).

My applications usually take 1-2 hours to make, including graphic designing. It's good that you're spending a lot of time on your application. It shows that you're putting effort and time into applying, unlike some others...

With my admin app i took hmm maybe 30 minutes and it was sufficient enough lol

Thanks for helping out guys, as they said, just open some sort of wordpad related program ( WordPad, Notepad++, Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Etc. )

But 6 hours is way too much to put into your application, you can make a very, very good application in 3 hours. My World of Tanks Post contained 2000+ posts, 2500+ with code and that took me 3 hours and I made the exact same mistake you made half way through, if I wouldn't have saved my progress every 10 minutes I would have lost 2 hours of work.

Should have used CTRL+Z

Work in microsoft word, even if you don't save or your system crashes before you save it, it always has a backup of your document.
