Before I start the tutorial I know Postal Duke has made one, but he didn't go into much detail as it was only for a signature, so here is mine.
BBCode stands for bulletin board code. It is a implementation of HTML. Whether you can use it on any forums is up to the administrators to decide, here, we can. BBCode can be used to change the style of your text. To make any sentence/word bold, you need to enclose it in [ b ] [ /b ] (Without spaces). Example Hello [ b ] World [ /b ] Would turn to: Hello World If you want to put you text in color, its the same thing but different code. Here. If you want it red for example, you would put [ color=red ] (Text) [ /color ] Example Hello World. Underlining. If for some strange reason you want to underline your text than you would have to enclose what you want underlined in [ u ] [ /u ] Example Hello World If you want to italicise your text then, you probably guessed it, you would enclose your text you want to italicise in [ I ] [ I ] Example Hello World You can also use several BBCodes in one sentence/word Like this [ color=red ] [ b ] Hey [ /b ] [ /color ] Example Hey You can also have many other coloured text, by simply replacing the red after color=red with other colours like Dark Green Yellow Gold Etc. There are also so many more. If you want to highlight what someone wrote, and reply to it, all you have to do is type [ quote="Jeff" ] Here it would be a separate box for what "Jeff" wrote [ /quote ] Thanks for reading and I hope I helped |
