TOPIC: Gmod crashing.

Gmod crashing. 8 years 10 months ago #171344

Whenever i start playing gmod im fine, about 10 mins in i freeze then it plays a loop of the last heard sound eg gunshot for about 3-5 seconds then crashes. no error code just back to desktop. anyone else have this problem and found a fix? ive tryed everything the view integerety of game clishe- Doesnt work, reinstall-nope ?? thx	Lord of Banterbury Offline Senior Boarder Ex-SSRP Admin Posts: 332 Thanks received: 34 Karma: 2

What it isn't:
Drivers (it fails at a ring3 winapi call)
What it may be:
Anti-viruses (They hook winapi calls with a ring0 hook, if they aren't handling it properly this could cause that)
The game (Probably just a glitch)

I had this a while ago I just re-installed GMOD and it was running like normal again

I've had this twice
Once back when we changed from block_42 to Townsend and now on s2.
Reinstalling has done nothing for me in the past. It stopped when I got my new pc
