TOPIC: Stupid Trojan

Earlier today i got a trojan installed onto my computer saying i had to pay else my computer would be locked by some kind of Indian police . i set it to a previous backup... didn't work and crashed my computer over and over again. so i had to reset my entire computer meaning i now get to spend the next weekend or more installing all of my apps again... at-least i got windows 10. This is the second time this has happened to me about the same kind of things a police website pop up telling me to pay. Last time it cost me a £300 laptop since it locked it and i couldn't get rid of it.

Get a firewall as well just to be safer my recommendation is comodo firewall

Get a firewall as well just to be safer my recommendation is comodo firewall

I had a firewall its just the virus was well coded when it got into my system it effected all documents and renamed my system folders to its own so it wouldn't be detected.

Here are some things you could download which really help your computer security: www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ www.malwarebytes.org/antiexploit/ Avast is a good choice for an antivirus, AVG is decent too.
