from my knowledge Dezmond is aware of they stuff going on, and also from what i know, hes not the only one who pressed the link in the Zarp staff team, so if you recieve any message saying "WTF, and some link" then dont press it, and then let us know who it is

First of All if it comes from a random guy trying to add you
You would know its a 100% phising link
But if its a friend check the ULR and how it looks Normaly if you think he sent you a steam link
There would be a word changed in it for a exmaple Insted of Steam Community it would me Steam Comminuty or something like that
Second thing you can do is copy the link carefully and isnted of HTTP at the start change it to HTTPS So its a secure connection
Or just dont click any links To avoid Malware and Phising attacks.
