Thing with AMD CPU is that there are tons of "cheap" motherboard so it's difficult to really know what to choose. I mean, unless you take a really expensive gaming motherboard the chances that the motherboard I give you as ref could not be available at your store. Just choose a motherboard that has the right chipset, on which you can have four memory bar and that can fit your computer case.
Ohw srry, I miss readed. So if I buy a
intel CPU instead of a
amd CPU, I
dont have to buy a new motherboard?
It depends, if you buy an Intel CPU it has to have the right socket.
You said you have a i7 860. I've found out that it was a 1156 which I think is a 1155 renamed.
So basically, you need to buy a processor with the 1155socket or if you buy another processor, you need to buy a motherboard with the right socket.
Just realized you had a HP computer, then I advise you to buy a new motherboard and a new CPU because if you don't you might not be able to change your CPU because HP disallows you to change your material.
(Sorry for my english, I make quick replies and I'm kinda tired)
