Me and Ryan both got a Raspberry Pi each for free, from school. What can I do with it? I'm going to install DOOM and Minecraft, but what else can I do? Any fun games or anything? Thanks.

I have two at home. We use one to host a private minecraft sever but we also use RASBMC to stream movies and TV shows from our Seagate 2TB Wireless Hard Drive so if you have a hard drive on your local network then you can stick some movies that you have downloaded and hook it up to the pre-set RASBMC which is on the SD.
I will also link some cool projects to do with it. Have fun you two |

I also have a raspberry pi 1 model B at home and like wallcop i've set up to use as a media streamer. I have a couple of addons installed to stream TV shows, Movies and to watch live sports channels like sky sports and BT sport. i've used raspbmc but I prefer openelec because it's a lighter version and I think it runs smoother.
I will also recommend overclocking the PI from its base clock of 900 mhz to about 1.3ghz (i've got a successful overclock of 1.5ghz but it took a lot of time getting the settings right so it was stable) |

I think I need a new SD card, since the one I got with it was 4GB. Our school got like 50 of them for free from Google. |
