TOPIC: Jacknelli's Resignation & Goodbye...

I hate that things had to come to this but today I will be leaving ZARP, Steam, and everything to do with my computer and the person I've become known as: Jacknelli. My personal life has gone to shit because of my actions and decisions I have made. I made a realization yesterday that things need to change and I need to stop throwing my life away. I'm smart as hell, have been tested at a 140 IQ, go to a great high school, live in a great area, have family that would do anything for me, and have been given a million opportunities in life. However I took every damn one of those things for granted and have been slowly throwing my life away digging a deeper and deeper hole for myself. I came to a realization yesterday that things need to change and its not too late to get my shit together and turn it all around. I realized this last night after my varsity high school basketball team lost in the district finals. That was the first time I have cried in months or years or hell I can't even remember the last time. I came to this realization as I stood there on the court genuinely crying for once. There with my team in front of the thousands of fans that had come to watch this game. I stood there thinkng of the thousands of people staring at their TV's in dissapointment and looking out at the hundreds of disappointed and sad faces of all the fans from our hometown that had come to watch and support us and the kids in our student section that were also standing there crying and I realized I had let them down. I had let them all down. By the choices I had made to be lazy and not go to practice or not go on a run or not work out. By the things i chose to do like sit and play video games wasting my time on a computer when i could be in the gym working out and playing basketball or doing my homework or studying. 2000 hours alone on one game... 2000 FUCKING HOURS just wasted... Every one of those choices I had made resulted in this. I hate the feeling of letting people down. I hated the feeling when every girl from our student sectiom came up and hugged me saying I'm sorry you guys lost and thanking me for everything this season. When every guy came and gave me a handshake thanking me and saying "next year". Well I realized something that night standing there on that basketball court with the team and school and entire community that had become my family since I moved here a year ago... I realized that next year was damn right. Next year we're going all the way to the Breslin and winning that state championship because I'm done throwing my life away and wasting every opportunity that is handed to me and taking every damn thing in my life for granted. I realized that from that day on things had to change and I had to change. From this day on I'm a different person so forget everything you may know or think you know about me because none of that is true anymore. I never want to have as sad a night as I had last night sitting I'm that locker room seeing the dissapoimtment and frustration and sadness and tears on everyone's faces. That is the worst feeling in the world but you know what I'm thankful for that night. I'm thankful because I finally made a realization that night about my life and if it took thousands of people standing there or sitting at home watching on TV watching in dissapoimtmemt as I stood there on the court with tears rolling down my face onto my jersey and onto the wooden floow then so be it. At least I made that realization soon enough in my life to do something about it and make a change. I am sad that this change involves me saying goodbye to all of you but that's just the way it is. I have made a lot of good friends and have had a lot of good memories here on ZARP and I thank each and every one of you for that. I will never forget you guys and the things you have dome for me and I promise you that I will drop by again someday to say hello. When that will be I have no idea but for now I must be going. Best of wishes to all of you and I thank you guys for a hell of a good run. I even teared up writing this saying goodbye to all of you because you are all great people and I'm glad to have met every one of you and had this experience.... I am off to start a new chapter in my life and I hate goodbyes like this but this is just how it has to be... Goodbye everyone.
