Haha funnily enough it was the first anime I watched too. I asked my friend what he was doing and when he responded "Watching anime" I said he should tell me the name and I would watch it since I had nothing to do and hated the idea of anime. I watched all of it thinking it was good until I watched other series and then realised how much better they are in comparison.

Ah well. Also just to tick you off; Fairy Tail is amazing :3

Okay i will say some... but ... not ... ... like an top 5... ... or even a top... Black Rock Shooter, Ano Hana, Nisekoi, Mirai Nikki, Another, Air Gear, Pokemon :3 , Monogatari Series (i dont want to say all of it...), noucome, To Love Ru (all of them) ... ... ... Dog Days ... ... Ooh, a couple of solid choices.

For starters, I completely agree on the following anime being pretty good:
- Ano Hana
- Monogatari Series
- To LOVE-Ru, in a... special way.
- Dog Days
- Nisekoi

Can't comment on Air Gear, Noucome, Kuroko no Basket or Dragon Ball that much, simply because I haven't watched them. All I know is that I dropped Noucome and Air Gear some time ago after watching their first episodes, but I might pick them up again soon.

As for Black Rock Shooter and Pokemon, they could've been a lot better. With Black Rock Shooter, a lot of it was left unexplained and didn't make a lot of sense.

And then Fairy Tail and Mirai Nikki... Please, can anyone explain to me why so many people think of these anime as "masterpieces"?! It's seriously bugging me right now.

Dragon ball is the best. Where else can you see vegeta in a pink shirt, 24 hours of punching, 3 episodes of spirit bomb charging and SAYA MAN.
