TOPIC: Rust Server - Is there potential?

Greetings,
For a while now I have been thinking about a "Rust" server for the ZARP community, for players who don't know what "Rust" is I have provided a link to their website which can be foundhere. The game is very similar to Gmod, it includes raiding, basing and gathering materials.

So why Rust?

• The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kill them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Whatever it takes to survive.
• Rust is an indie 2013 survival video game created by Facepunch Studios, the creators of Garry's Mod. Rust is very similar to Garry's mod in many ways such as the raiding, basing etc.
• Rust is best suited for small, closely connected communities. It is not a game designed to be played by large groups (20+ players) as it is very "hardcore"​.
• The game can be found on Steam, it is purchasable for £15, the link to the store can be found here.

I do not want to give you guys a lecture about the game, however I would very much appreciate you post a reply to this topic with your opinions on the game and if you think this could be a good idea. Thank you.

This is a great idea, as a Rust player myself, I would usually support this, but sadly, I feel that the rust community is fading away... maybe we should wait for the new version (they are making great progress) because the legacy one is abandoned.

Even Though I don't play "rust" nor do I have "Rust" I think it would be a great Idea for ZARP.

I do have Rust but stopped playing it months ago.
If there would be something like a zarp Server I might think about playing it again.

It's really fun to play but got bored by playing mostly with only a few people.
With the zarp Community it could be better

no, i think the rust craze is over. personally i dont like new rust over legacy anyway

It would be a great addition to the ZARP Server List. I do not personally own rust but maybe a staff event or beta could be organised to see if it is acctually worth it.

Rust will most likely have the potential to be a zarpgaming server..
Other than that I can't say much, my computer is not good:/
( 2.8 single core and don't get me started with meh graphics:/)

If anyone has any suggestions for a Rust server, please PM me or catch me on teamspeak etc.

My suggestion is , if you make a Server to use a few commands.

For example /home command which teleports you after 10 seconds to your house.

Mods could have the /tp and /kick commands , Admins /bans and some special ones like,
setting day/night circle etc.

I had my own Rust Server once so I know a few commands that could be helpfull.

I fount the /home command to be very easy to abuse and take away the meaning of the game.
1st off, when you raid a tower base you just break through the lower floor and sethome there, than when you do/home you teleport a floor up and so on... also one of the main points of the game is to explore and you cant explore when you just use /home to travel....

I've already worked on Ranks & Commands etc. Members of staff have the same abilities like they would on DarkRP. The players cannot set homes however I have made it so you may request a teleport to another player, once every 15 minutes. Just to help people find their way about in the early days.

I tried today to connect to Zarp Rust server ._. didnt work, whats up with it?

It's "Legacy" - If you aren't playing on Legacy it won't let you in.

I did play Legacy, I tried to connect and it failed
