Ideas on how to give feedback on mod apps 10 years 2 months ago #72198

Hey all,
I'v seen an increase in people giving feedback on applications and I'm looking for a better way to give feedback so I was wondering if anyone would like to share some of their ideas that would make a great template to provide enough information but make it simple at the same time. I think Chris has made a template and I'm sure he will be sharing so we can look forward to what he has to offer. The one I'm using does it job but I think it could be better.

So guys share how you give feedback or ways to improve the way people give feedback. This helps everyone one because not only does it provide the person applying with what they need to improve on or have done well but it also helps our meeting go by faster with all the information already provided.

well my idea is that there should not be a template, but a post where it says what you should include in your post. Then everyone could make his own template, but has to fill in this and this information.

I came up with some scales. Fx. 1-10.
This is only a example on how it could be done with scales.

Hi -name-
General info-
Warnings-
Activity- (1-10) -explanation to the number given-
Maturity- (1-10) -explanation to the number given-
Knowlede of rules- (1-10) -explanation to number given-

This is just a suggestion.
I believe this would be a grat idea Red, and i believe it could help somebody to give their feedback.

Simple as that.

Yes this would be the idea of giving feed back but the general idea behind this is to give feedback worthy enough for them to improve or know what they have done well and to make it easier for us to have a quick look over applications and already know if they need improvement or if they have are ready for the role. Leaving feedback like: "You are good at RP +Support" isn't really worth much compared to a feedback post like "You have done very well with following rules while RPing you are very helpful also. You could try getting more time on server 2 +support" when we are in the meetings or if they have a look they would see example one and think perfect I have this and then we get to the meeting spend 5mins looking for times and see he hasn't been on server two and maybe tell him to reapply after getting more time on both but with looking at example two we could of already seen that and saved the 5mins and he also could of seen that and maybe got that improved by time the meeting came up.

There is no need for templates on your feedback, if you are going to give feedback state what they could have done better and help them out, no need of templates

Might be no need but more than half of us do it and if it helps the person apply and the staff team make decisions why not.

How about a box in which most people have authority to add to but not edit past posts? Quick tag words or phrases such as "needs to learn more rules" or even a whole description, all right under the post. Also A system for + or sup. This would require some sorting of the layout as far as the forum page goes in the applications section but it would speed up the process pretty well. Also if it could be done a button for + and - supp "popular vote" feature. Just some ideas off of the top of my head, but idk how much you have the power to change so..
