Thread dedicated to how awesome AOT is

In my opinion, AOT (Though I prefer calling it SnK) is incredibly overrated. It lacks solid character development (except for Armin), it's quite predictable during most battles and the plot is overused. The only thing that I give it credit for is it's amazing animation and soundtrack.
Basically, this anime has almost identical faults with what was wrong with Sword Art Online (the only exception being that SAO was full of filler and a lackluster second half. That's it).
I'd rather see dedicated threads about how awesome Fate/Zero, the Monogatari Series, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Railgun and Soul Eater are.

Sword Art Online would've been a decent anime if it didn't turn into a harem in the first half. It should've instead focused on what would happen if 10k players got stuck in the game a bit more.
One of it's biggest faults lie in the fact that they had filler episodes that didn't really progress the story all that much. Side characters were only important in those episodes, only to be barely seen (or heard) again. Kirito was OP for reasons that was basically unexplained, and Asuna became a generic Tsundere and didn't advance much beyond that.
The only thing I give it credit for is the animation quality and the soundtrack. The animation was crisp with very few faults (like weird positioned legs in Kirito's battle versus Gleam Eyes (Episode 9 or so), and it has a nice soundtrack with a very addictive first OP, a decent ED and an amazing battle theme.
As said before, the second half was just plain shit. It wouldn't have been half-bad if they didn't add the unneeded incestuous-plot, and an economic sub-plot that was only looked at for one episode and then left alone because Kirito somehow had enough money to fund 2 armies, despite him being in that game for 4 days and all his money and items not being converted to Alfheim Online (as seen in Episode 15).
As for Season 2, it hasn't dissapointed me thus far. As always it has good animation quality and a decent soundtrack. The only thing that I don't like that much is how they show a scene from SAO that we didn't see in the original series, and how it looks like they plan on having 2 arcs in 1 season again. They haven't learned.
