While on holiday I found out I had cancer I'm going to go into detail on how I found out I had it and how I've gotten on since it:
3 to 4 weeks ago I was sitting their lonely and sad just relaxing in my chair alone with no noise or nothing, my girlfriend walks in trying to get a word out of me, I tell her how my grandmother died and how it made me feel she would comfort me hug me and make sure I was okay she cheered me up and told me how I was going to go on holiday for 2 weeks and for that I was happy and grateful so I cheered up a bit. 2 weeks ago I was on holiday trying to cheer up and relax but I couldn't knowing that my grandmother had passed away, then I receive a phone call from my doctor, a very brief one all he says is: "You have cancer in your left ear, the outer part you have 2 options, life for 3 months or have your left ear cut off". So under my breath I say "ok, I'll have it cut off" and at that point I'm almost sick. The next thing he says is "The operation is going to be on Friday, next week". I reply with "I'm on holiday...". Next thing he says is "Either then or never". I call up my mates tell them the bad news and I tell my girlfriend and she almost screamed her lungs out, so I organised for the holiday to be shortened for the week. When I got back I was with mates, friends and family and tried to forget about it, then Friday roles around so I go to the operating theatre the give me gas and I go to sleep, I wake up and I can't hear anything I feel my right ear and there's a ear plug in my ear I go to feel my left and... all I feel are stiches. I've slowly started to recover and I'll be active more on Zarp and something to remember is life's way to short for worrying and feeling sad, Cancer may have taken my left ear but my happiness, confidence and life remain intact. -Jam_is_good 2014 |

To tell you the truth, we've never met and when I read your first post I was speechless, but now I'm happy and sad at the same time, I'm really really really really happy that the operation went great and I hope to meet you soon but I'm also sorry for both your losses I know life won't be the same without a grandma nor a left ear, but I know you will use that potential of yours and become a very successful man. In addition to my sadness and joy, I would like to congratulate you about being the bravest guy I've heard about and I hope to call you a friend soon.
I would also like to add you on steam, and you are right life is too short to worry about anything, live your life and don't regret a decision. - Johnny Smith |
