Why?
Hello all of you, honestly this took some time for me to think about, but in all of a sudden, I just felt like resigning, I am probably going to regret this in the future, but currently, I don't feel like playing on Zarp anymore. I stopped because some like to make up custom rules that we have to follow which is not even stated. I also started to become more and more powerhungry and more mean towards everyone else, and that's just not how I am. That's not how anyone is, it's just their 'image' and they do it to get respect, just like i did.
Respect
I feel like the community is about respect and not friends. It's about getting people to like you, so that they can help you reach the very top, and once you reach that top, you become a jerk, and that's what i became, but i only became such a jerk so that people would respect me, i had no other reason. I always remember back to my old moderator days, when there used to be superadmins being mean, and you always looked up to them. You would always do the best job you possibly could while they were looking. And also, we rarely see admins talk to regular players, cause it is not a 'friend' community, but it's just about being the top admin. Sure thing, you can have fun on other servers, but when we see someone resign, i highly doubt they are still talking to the staff.
Changes
Since my very first day on Zarp there have been a lot of changes, some are good, and some are bad. The obvious changes is the suggestions and such, but with the time the whole system just changed slowly. Let me try to explain this better. First of all you had to put effort into your moderator application, they were incredibly long, and they didn't get accepted unless they were VERY GOOD. It was more like an honor to be a part of the staff team. Now the staff team is just something you become, and you don't care the next hour. Also, moderator's didn't get promoted to admin after a week, no they got promoted to admin after 5 weeks of hard work. Let me just say that you had to "Fight" for your rank, and not just roleplay with an admin so that he could suggest you in the meeting. That's also why i am happy that Chris made the new system so that people would have to apply themselves, but they still apply after a few weeks.
New staff
It's not because i have anything against the current staff, but it's more like seeing the ones you had close leaving Zarp one by one, and they just did things a better way than the current staff does. Again, after they are leaving, people don't talk to them, because people don't talk to people outside the community really.
Selfcreated
I feel that stuff needs to be announced in a meeting or so, just after my two weeks of being sick, i saw new badge ranks and all kind of diffrent stuff i didn't know about. And i am just too lazy to really learn about all of this one more time.
Old staff
I had a conversation with some old staff members of Zarp, one of them were Baron, i talked to him about how he felt when he left Zarp, and this was his answer. "In the beginning i was sad for a while, but after some time i felt free as a bird" I asked him why he left and this was his answer "I asked myself this question everyday, if i keep playing something i dislike, then why am I playing it?" And that is exactly how i feel, i have probably nowhere to go in the future when I am bored after posting this reply, but that's how i feel currently.
Current Status
Guys, i really enjoyed playing on zarp with every single person of you. All of you have been a part of making this such a good experince.

Teddy, I remember teaching you the basics when you were a user, every staff were in love with you, and you did even show some good Superadmin potential, but then you started becoming inactive, but i promise, if you do what you did before, you will get very far!
System
System, my best buddy since I was a moderator. I was so jealous on you when you suddenly got promoted to moderator while i was a moderator aswell, and then a few weeks after you got promoted to admin outside the meeting because that you've shown great admin potential. I felt overseen, but after i got my admin rank i enjoyed playing with you, and i still do.

Oh dude, I remember you back in the days when you used you call for an admin 24/7, and you still call for us over steam. Anyway, you are a great guy, and i wish you the best of luck with your moderator rank.

I don't know where to begin, you were my best friend when i was a user, and we used to roleplay together and all that. My moderator application got denied, so i bought moderator, and so did you. We had so much fun together. And then suddenly you were promoted to admin, and then you got demoted for abusing or something like that. I am so sorry for forgetting about you, but i became too obsessed with power so that i forgot about you. It must have been hard, cause i rarely see you talk to anyone, and I don't see you on teamspeak either. It's sad to see you back as moderator, but i really wish you the best of luck. And remember, we can still talk on steam.

Releven, I am really surprised that you are doing such a good job. Even after having such a hard time on Zarp, you returned and you made great friends. I know after Reaper resigned (kinda) you don't have as much people to talk to, but just keep playing dude. You can get very far, you are doing an amazing job currently.

Beck, you are simply amazing. There's not much more to say. There's no doubt why you got promoted that fast, you are just doing an amazing job.

Hopking, the guy with the funniest name on the entire server. You are really doing a good job, and you are always calling when you need help with something. You are just amazing.

Elemental, oh gosh the most friendly guy on the planet. You are not powerhungry at all, you are not obsessed with power and you don't care about reaching the top, and you think about other players. That's how things should work, Elemental is a good example of a real superadmin, respect.

Lazybro, you are the most honest guy on earth. When there's something you dont like, you say it. You got promoted very fast, and there's a good reason for that. Keep playing dude, you are just doing a fantastic job, and you can really represent the zarp community.

Xhantium, you might seem hard like a nut on the outside, but if you dig in that nut with a pickaxe, and you come into the inside, you are just a fun, great, fantastic and cool person. I enjoyed playing with you back in the day. And not only garry's mod, but also no more room in hell and such. You are doing a good job on your admin spot, no doubt.

I always looked up to you when i used to be a moderator, everytime you gave me a compliment i would just have the best feeling inside, and you would make my day. I love the way you are towards everyone, and you can even have fun with users, to you it's not about respect, it's about fun, and bringing joy to the people.
I wouldn't forget anyone here, but the ones who aren't listed is because i never talked to you very often.

I am about to press the submit button, and I can't explain how hard it is. My 6 - 7 months of playing on this community just flashes, and i am about to regret all theese hours of work on this resignation.

Hey Optec I am really sad to see you go I really a and I do mean it, You and Beagle was the first staff I met and dealt with my F1's and you helped me out so many times, you did rush some but you helped me alot in the past, Recently you have been inactive and I saw this coming.

Thank you this means alot to me, I was very sad when I got demoted from SA but I had story behind why I was inactive that week and I should of said why but my head was all over the place because of my reason I was inactive, But that is not why I am posting here for its because I am very sad to see you go and I don't think I am going to resigning at any time BUT I hope to keep in touch with you mate.

Not trying to start any drama.
I agree with the problem that people are so nice to you WHEN you are staff but as soon as you leave the people you thought were friends just stop talking to you because you are no longer of use (this is my personal opinion) because popularity gives you an opportunity to get up the ranks easier and get respect it's like people just sucks up to the higher powers instead of just being the self. Of course not everyone does this but a vast majority just do it to get higher up. It seems like it truly is all about just gaining respect instead of friends and having a good time.
However Optec if you knew you were going power hungry why not just make a change?

NOOOO! My baby cakes Optec. Man it sucks to see you go but I understand that you are getting bored and want to move on so I guess that is awesome. I would quite happily still speak to you over TS if you ever get a chance and free time then you must hop on and give us some loving.

Dear Optec,
I've known you since you were Moderator. And you were a Legend of handling F1's back then, and you are a Legend at handling F1's now. For me you really are a guy i was following a little bit with what you do as Moderator in my first weeks. And that helped my with a lot of stuff. You are really very high on my List of best Staffmembers.It's very sad that you resign and i hope you will come back.
