TOPIC: RDM open for abuse?

Hi there,

Me and illuminate have/had a little discussion with (mod) Angry Kitty and some of the admins,
and i'd like to put this up for discussion since it does have a possiblity of abuse,

see the thing was me and illuminate were walking from spawn to our base/resord/hotel thing in the back of the map,
while we entered the tunnel someone (i will not include names since we aren't looking for a ban on him/her) began shooting us and we both died infront of the entrance of our base (RDM in our eyes) now the moment after we died, he/she took his super picklock thing and entered the base claiming it a "raid" when we reported him/her to the staffmembers,
the mod (Angry Kitty) let me do my story, and the other guy told his side and Angry Kitty decided to warn him for RDM, now he kept claiming it was a raid, but i do have a screenshot of him killing me in front of the our base, now holding his super picklock item thing in the screenshot. Only on that fact, one of the admins called it a raid, and said the kill was no RDM but part of the raid.

In other words, we can shoot and kill people as thiefs/super thiefs as long as we know where their base is, run over there and claim everything a raid, since we don't have to announce a raid? see how easy it is to abuse the RDM rule now? it is in our eyes though. So to make the picture clear for everyone i'll include an example of how this is open for abuse:
say 10 thiefs are in the game, and they shoot 10 people of which they know where their base is, then they run over to their bases with the picklock in the hand and start picklocking, now the RDM claimes are invalid (as the admin said) because they will all claim it a raid?

Nothing against Angry Kitty or the admin's for judging this against us in this case, but it is quite opening the RDM rule for abuse, it will possibly make almost all RDM's by thiefs legit as long as they have your base location.

I'd love to hear your opinion if this rules makes the RDM rule open for abuse by thiefs or that we (illuminate and me) failed to understand the raiding rules.

Please keep the topic clean, and only post your opinion, that would be very helpfull.
Sorry for the long post, but it was important to me to explain it as clear as possible.

The person has to be near their base in order to be killed while raiding.

If he isn't near his base, it's RDM.

I believe that is still Attempting RDM and still punishable. Shame on them for trying to kill you and massively failing.

Its rather confusing, itsn't it a option to have people call "raid" or something in chat/advert before any raid-kills?

I know it sounds weird to say raid out loud and then storm in, but it would limit the option to abuse this, since its very hard to proof that the kill was not legit for the victim and also for the mod/admin to warn the person if it was indeed a RDM/attempting RDM.

This is why most people are encouraged to record RDM. Best way to proof anything is by directly showing what happened to an admin.

As far as I am concerned, thieves can kill anyone interfering with a raid they are already in the process of doing.

Killing you far away would be a bit of a failure, because your NLR wouldn't be at your base and you could just go there to kill them - so it would all become too confusing if we allowed them to do this.

So let's clarify: no. They shouldn't have shot you.

shouldn't there be a alternative to this? not all admins/mods find like.. 50m from the base far, and some do, which will end up in "but the other admin told me this was far enough last time" etc etc.
