As commonly as he's mentioned, I really like Ghostface. The whole challenging and subversion of tropes thing is great, even if it got slightly less common in the later films.

Jason's great, so are Leatherface and Michael Myers. These three changed the way we look at killers in fiction. Not only that, but Leatherface is actually based off of Ed Gein, who was a prolific serial killer in his lifetime with a very disturbing way of dealing with his victims.

i thought leatherface was based off the texas chainsaw massacre, also not sure why hes called the texas chainsaw massacre when it happened in wisconsin

Texas chainsaw massacre just sounds more catchy and its one of the more well known states which people abroad are more likely to recognise I guess, most of the story isnt actually based on Ed Gein either
