TOPIC: Is Zarp dead?

My reason for asking is purely constructive. As a member of the community i have deep nostalgia and seek to grind $ with my money printers. I don't see many players active though. Is this because of Xnator developing the F4 menu? Admin abuse? What caused the havoc?

It’s been like this for as long as I’ve played, it’s actually been a lot more active lately, Ssrp just has the issue of having 0 competition.

There is no right answer but we can all agree that first, people grew up, some moved on from gaming, others moved on garry's mod etc.
The appeal isn't the same anymore, personally i don't feel satisfied like I used to, there is no competition, when there is new players they are most of the time immediately chased off the server because they are starting to compete with other established players... what is there to accomplish nowadays ?

The answer is: it's not alive. It's just ones and zeros.

In general what you're supposed to accomplish is the same thing you were going to accomplish when you first started. I remember enjoying the gang upgrades but once my gang had acquired all upgrades we ran out of stuff to do. We'd come on to raid and base for the sake of being raided. After 4 years I believe there was a few more upgrades to the gangs but it was a long wait and with such a gap the critical mass died out. At least that's my theory.
