I never took A-Levels but my understanding is they're advanced qualifications that most people take to further their education into uni and such, pretty sure you take 3 subjects and they span over 2-3 years, with final exams to conclude them. If I'm incorrect, others that have taken them will be able to correct me. They're definitely a big deal if you want to get into a specific University but as I said previously, not the end of the world if it doesn't work out.
