Howdy everyone,
You guys know I've had some issues with my PC in the past, and it's served me relatively well for the past few years. I think it's time to update it, though. At the moment, my PC is sort of quite low-tier, and lags with most games, really. I was doing a tiny bit of research, but I'm not the best with this stuff. I found this build online, and when I tried to build it myself, it actually came up more expensive, so maybe it's better if I just buy it straight from them? www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-mirage-intel-i3-121...p-pc-for-gaming.html |

Doesn't seem too bad, it's a really weird time to build a PC due to the shortages with GPUs so they're inflated massively and some prebuilts actually do work out cheaper atm lol, doesn't seem too bad of a rig for the price to be fair but I'd definitely up the wattage of the PSU to err on the side of caution. Definitely cheaped out on certain parts in the build but, that's what they've gotta do to make money on the prebuilt I suppose.

Yeah pre-builds do look good and they catch you with a couple of fancy items but then other parts are so massively under-powered or out-of-date so to speak.. I remember my first one, it was around £450 and looked brilliant (to me at that time, I was new to PC), but then it couldn't even run the game it came with and I then had to get external help to just switch out some parts anyway. Maybe easier to get a GPU this way but be prepared to upgrade other parts if you do go for it. CPU will do but could be better, perhaps you'll want a different cooler not sure. Probably more RAM as 8GB is very on the cuff if you're planning to run a few programs, browser and game at once. Then as Narexa said, especially just for those changes you'd want a new PSU. |

It's a pretty okay PC for the price. I'd suggest you upgrade the cooler to a Noctua, get at least 16GB RAM, and get more storage (You can probably just take the RAM and storage from your current PC and mix it with the new PC)

+ what others said. If you're really going for a prebuilt where they tend to cheap out for low tier brands like Palit (gpu), at least get a good PSU. It doesn't even say what brand they're using so assume it's shit.

And it's only £34.99 extra, do it if you buy this. Ps. Obviously the same goes for all or at least most the other parts, take a look at what they are, search them up, and it might be worth spending the extra bit of money just swapping some things out. |
