I like the ideas about materialism and happiness. I think buying a thing because they provide utility is a real thing, but beyond that you should learn to be content, as more does not mean better. There's also the problem with capitalism being incentivized to make things that break more, so then you have the excuse to make another more of that thing, but that's another problem for another day.

capitalism in itself is a problem imo, but thats a problem for another thread
