With the term snake being thrown around I would like to discuss the possibilities of the inclusion of new reptiles. I have a few ideas but would love to hear from others!
My first one is the Bearded Dragon.
I think the bearded dragon would be a good place to start. A bearded dragon has lots and lots of little spikes all over its body to scare of predators and look really intimidating when in reality the spikes are soft and provide no physical benefit, the bearded dragon is also a sandy colour to blend in with its surroundings (mainly found in the land down under) it needs to blend in because other than a nasty bite to anything a tenth of its size the bearded dragon is harmless.
Second on my list is the Chameleon
The chameleon can be one of the smallest reptiles found, the main thing chameleons are known for is their ability to change colour to camouflage into any situation to hide from potential predators and blend in. The chameleon has very good eye sight and can attempt very quickly to suit its needs. A chameleon has a long tongue and eats its food when its unexpected due to not having any ability to defend itself.
Last on my list is The Tortoise.
The tortoise is a large slow reptile who goes at their own pace while munching on vegetation as they please. A tortoise has an incredibly long life span, part of the reason for such a long life span is down to the iconic shell, this shell is super tough to the point anything that would want to eat/damage the tortoise can't although they do try to damage the tortoise the shell protects it. The shell of a tortoise does have feeling but its more to alert the tortoise that something is attempting to attack.
