Fuming to say the least  There's a few reasons why this hit close to home for me, it's really sad to see Western countries perpetuating these narratives as if different linguistic music is somehow negative, I find this very damaging and a destructive attitude to the music industry as a whole, as we should be more accepting of different cultural, linguistic or just generally different styles of music that can appeal to a broader amount of people. Rather than, instantly dismissing it due to it sounding differently. |
