Do the police shoot before they say put your hands up..??
Thankfully not.. But in Zarpgaming servers it seems to be a fairly common occurrence. Yesterday i received a 2day ban for blocking a door in prop hunt on the office map. Was I guilty of blocking a door: yes Did I know I was breaking a rule: no Should it not be the case tho in a “properly” democratic society/community that you firstly let someone know that they are in breach of a rule, afford them a chance to comply with the rules and give them the opportunity to change their gameplay instead of just instantly banning people ..? Does that not make sense?? (At this point I’m going to be talking about my own situation and I’d suggest you look at the video of me behind the door for which I was banned on the forum; I do not have the link available even after searching for it on YouTube to help me compile this report but it is available on the Forum before I go into detail.) Firstly - I don’t even think that this is a fully illegal spot. I have been a prop and hunter and come into this situation before and it is possible to kill and be killed even when behind the door.. Secondly - the first time I knew I was in breach of a rule was as soon as it came onto my screen that I’d actually been banned for doing it. That’s excessive to say the least. In my opinion you should let someone know their in breach of a rule rather than just instantly banning them as I’ve previously stated. It’s happened before where I’ve witnessed people “ghosting” and told them in the chat or over the microphone to stop or I would take I further and report to a moderator and 99% of the time they stop which I suppose is all everyone wants at the end of the day and it delivers the outcome everyone wants. Finally - when the punishment was issued I joined the community officially to appeal the ban thinking that it would be a fairly simple process. Unfortunately it’s not. There’s a field list of information on an appeal case to be filled in to meet the criteria of an appeal. An appeal should be just that and not require a box ticking session to count as a valid appeal or valid complaint for that matter.. Not every player is going to have the ability to or know how to record or recover footage from the game and their appeal or complaint should not be considered invalid for failure to meet a certain criteria. I’ve also sent emails to zarpgaming and as of yet I’ve not had a response and It’s also not possible to comment on the punishment on the Forum because it has locked access hence why I’ve decided to make my own point to highlight the issues within the situation and the zarpgaming server as a whole. If there is a punishment request put on the forum would it not be better to have it in an open platform rather than a locked field as to let the community discuss the Situation and circumstances In an open and transparent setting rather than just say “Guilty without due process” and force a drawn out appeal process out of the player in question. To me it’s a more diplomatic way of doing things and only makes things fair for everyone in that both sides of the story can be heard with out any pre set biases or potential bullying circumstances coming into the situation .. In addition - the player (Exothermic) that made the report and moderator (Chespin) the person that delivered the punishment I believe personally just wanted to ban me. 24hours previous to this ban I was kicking both of there asses, fair and square in prop hunt and I think they’re possibly using the next 48hours to mend their bruised egos.. To both of you guys I say; “Guys you both know people ghost (Which actually is a clearly stated rule on the server I mite add) and yous have both been in sessions previously where players have blocking doors on the office map.. Why is it you punish me and me alone when there’s been entire teams in the past doing exactly the same as what I was banned for and you did nothing about it..??” Stop trying so hard to be a pack Proboscis monkey’s and be fair to people and afford them the rights to due process and allow them to correct any mistakes Or misguided gameplays in their gameplay.. Give players the opportunity to resolve any issues that you have with them that may or may not be legal rather than just bluntly shooting from the hip. You’ll probably find you’ll get more respect as an individuals, as will the Zarpgaming server and community as a whole for treating people like people and not a number or piece of trash Or property that you can just treat however you wish. You will only ever gain by trying to be fair with people. Hopefully this finds a more diplomatic audience than I’ve come across previously in this server and I’m not further punish for exercising my universal right to freedom of speech and highlighting some of the issues I’ve found on this server. Zarpgaming is great don’t ruin it for people that just want to game just cause you’ve been put in a position of power to potentially do so. Yours sincerely, WiLdHoRse

We will not unlock this thread so please stop spamming our emails cheers. If you have had a issue with one of our staff members please follow the report abuse guide that Xnator has linked here, by using the template create a new topic about it. If you were already punished and feel like you were unfairly treated you can also appeal the punishment using the appeals template and guide. Making posts like this causes unnecessary drama. If you continue to spam our emails you will be banned. So do what I said, thanks. |
