TOPIC: Change how SSRP meetings are doing

Hello

A long time ago i used to be in the SSRP staff team.
In yesterday's meeting many great applicants got denied, including me.
When i was in the staff team, during meetings there was a gargantuan lack of debate and arguing, leading to members getting denied that could be a very great addition to the staff team.

The staff team is really REALLY weak nowadays.
We don't have enough staff across both SSRP servers, which will always cause problems.
Back when i firstly got moderator, i was actually trying to do debates and actually give a correct and un-biased opinion on applicants.

And unfortunately i think that today this is still going on, i am tired of having to wait to become staff again because i recieved an unfair warning from the owner just because he failed a raid in game.

It's annoying, and i don't even have to ask staffs to break NDA and tell me what was going on, because i already KNOW what happened during the previous meeting.
There was probably a little bit of debate,but clearly not enough.

A player recieving one warning shouldn't be a guaranteed denial, i'm pretty sure as soon as peoples in the meeting knew i had one recent they instantly decied to vote negatively.
If people weren't lazy and actually notice my efforts to try to integrate the staff team, i would be promoted to moderator.

It's just annoying, and i'm fucking sad to see how it's going, i had hope honestly.
Last year lots of peoples became staff member for questionable reasons, and other peoples and i get denied for one little warning.

I wish someone would actually give a genuine reply without just throwing this topic into Drama Hole and act completely oblivious to what is going on.

I just wish more people spoke out and wasnt scared. What I noticed there was only ever one sided talks or one dominating person/group. Because of this people can't be bothered to spend hours in a meeting trying to get the right outcome due to it just constantly being objected

After 4 years of attending the vast majority of meetings, it has changed a lot where you see no feedback or actual discussion being spoken about someone when it used to be very different three years ago, people actually tried than just not bother and that is simply because you can object for hours on end because of one guy spitting out their dummy about something they disagree with while the rest would say otherwise and only vote different because it is a waste of their time to keep arguing.

Take a look at my old application for TTT, this is something I want to see from staff is actually giving criticism if there is a negative or concern they may have else you are going to leave the user applying for the position quite confused. There is barely any encouragement and motivation for more staff and that is why SSRP has been slacking staff for quite some time IMO.

One thing I have noticed is people do not argue against what a higher up thinks, they are treated like some king on a throne and no one will say against them. Look what happened to my post when it got moved to the Drama Hole and how I don't get any sort of closing message with my current issues with the staff team, it really makes me think they do not care what I or others have to say.

Whether there was discussion in the last meeting or not for some people I do not know but the staff team is currently acting it makes me think that is the case.

Don't just take this post as an attack either, this is me giving my honest opinion and if it's bad attitude or whatever then TELL ME what is the matter with it and I will be happy to fix it up. START COMMUNICATING!

When I used to be in meetings, you can tell that nobody below SA would argue against someone being accepted or denied. If I had to guess, it is because people feel like things I listed above would happen. All we want is to help this a community that we have invested so much time into, but the leadership is driving it into the fucking ground and something needs to be done.

Trying to help has been one of the biggest wastes of my time. I have made suggestions, and multiple apps. "Lack of trust" is an extremely silly reason as I have never abused my powers, and have no reason to now. Recent unban is also not very fair as it has been 14 days and I still am yet to receive a punishment, the only thing I have done is show how much I actually care about this community.

Same as Clarky, this isn't an attack, this is me trying to explain what the issues are and what I think.

it’s not just SSRP meetings, meetings are just people refusing to argue against a higher ups opinion on the matter, in an attempt to get them on better terms with the higher up members so they can get promoted/not demoted, I’ve seen it far too much. Also back a few years ago 1 warming wasn’t an instant denial, as I got accepted for moderator on TTT with 4 recents, but they actually judged the applicant based on their experiences, rather than what higher ups think

nah but back when i was staff there was an "objection" shouted every other minute even if it was some random moderator trolling or paramontana trolling on a random ts alt.. at least we all got to speak, even though the meeting had like 30 people in it back then everyone got to speak their opinion, either through voice or chat.
