TOPIC: Give me your opinion on streetwear

Streetwear is now a worldwide thing, you can see streetwear brand everywhere on the globe.
I want to hear people's opinion on streetwear, i know there's a few peoples into streetwear on Zarp, so yeah feel free to give me your opinion and your experience buying and selling streetwear & sneakers !

Complete waste of money

It would be a good community if resellers didn’t exist. They are one of the most cancerous people on this planet in my opinion

I'm all in for Nikes but i'll never buy gucci, supreme etc. Overpriced when you can get replicas that are made in arguably better workplaces.

Supreme

Supreme was once a great brand in my personal opinion and I think people hating on resellers is kinda a joke... I was a re-seller and made bank over the months/years of getting on my laptop on Thursday at 11:00. However not always did I flip, I kept a lot of pieces for myself to wear / use. It was sort of a rotation of clothing, now please remember. I wasn't a Hypebeast, I was wearing Supreme before the hype happened and the bots... Around 3-4 Years ago. So I'm not a sheep with clothing, however over the years I have got a job and when looking back on the money I was making I envy it. I was making at maximum of £2000 a week reselling clothing (averaging probably £500) at 14. However I spent a lot of it on junk and other clothing.

With regards to the current status of Supreme my whole understanding of the brand has gone, I have no love for it. I think the pieces they are coming out with are slowly becoming less creative and the clothing seems to be targeting more 'HypeBeasts' wearing it for just the brand. I think the Box Logo was a mark in Streetwear history, if you hate on it it's cool. Just your opinion, with everything nowadays.

With prices of Supreme slowly becoming obsolete in the re-selling Market... Well there is still money to be mad, no where near with the competition of bots and the lack of interest the brand has received over the last few months.

Reselling

If there is a demand for clothing the prices will go up. Re-selling is that created Supreme and the 'hype' behind it. Money is only an object to some, Supreme although may be a bit of a joke brand to some, made a lot of people a lot of money. In a sense I think bots which are able to purchase 0.5% of the entire stock of an item are sure... A little annoying, it's just a way of gaining on a new market.

Brands I love.

Uniqlo : Great brand, awesome designs, cheap clothing what else could I say to be honest. I love it, I've bought all my T-Shirts on sale for £4.90 and they are extremly good quality with collaberations with Kaws, Daniel Arsham, Nintendo, Pokemon, Disney... It's got a design for everyone at great affordable prices. Love it!

Kaws : Although slowly becoming a Hyped brand instead of an artist and sure his artwork to some may be seen as a copy... I think the way he took the Streewear/Art market with his advertisements and publicity is was truly separates him from the best. I have personally invested quite a bit of money into his Artwork and it has all gone up... Incredibly. I love the Artwork he makes although slowly it's becoming more of a brand, although no hate towards it. Check him out if you don't know him 'XX'
