schools closed for like 2 weeks but its gonna end up being longer and going into easter break.

My brother has been tested positve so pretty shit yes

My employer has started putting drastic contingency plans in place ahead of the UK government. All workplace gatherings that may have 25 attendees are banned, we have to work from home at least 2/3 days a week, essential/non-essential staff are grouped into colour-coded teams to avoid inter-team spread.

Nothing has changed even tho venues I work in hold up to eighty thousand people, the safety officers deem the risk low enough to continue to operate. "we have containment specialists on-site" but it's too late once people have it.

Yeah, he actually is. He started to get the symtomps last week, after he came back from Italy... By the looks of it, hes almost cured tho

I mean it's just a cold with currently 5000 deaths, all old people. Up to 60000 die every year from the flu but you dont see people panic about that, so why is everyone so scared when it comes to covid 19?

I mean let's just say 25% of the world's population gets infected ( which isn't outside the realms of possibility) then you can see why people are starting to panic. and if those figures are correct we are talking about huge amounts of people dying probably won't come to that but still.
