I would imagine they are removed after the update is taken off.

But that would make no sense as similarly in the previous updates such as halloween and black Friday I used the crafting feature lots and got many items which remain in my inventory to this day. Why would items such as the christmas launcher need removing when players will use them and lose them overtime similarly to the other items u can craft. It makes no sense and seeing as though I'm currently sat on a couple thousand of each candy cane still it makes no sense to remove the items because it then makes the candy canes useless aswell unless chute is willing to compensate for the candy canes he might aswell allow the items to stay after the update.

It may not make sense, but previous updates have had items that stick around purely because they were items from previous cases. For example, the QED was in the Black Friday update as a craftable.

Most of the items on the craftables list are items that have been a staple of the Christmas updates for the past couple years. Penguin nades and such were here last year, they disappeared after the update finished. I think it probably would've been a bit better if they included something from a previous update, even if it was just like the ability to craft an item from a previous Christmas case.

So to answer your question: Everything that has "limited time" when you're about to craft it is something that will in fact disappear after the update is finished. And that seems to be every single one of them.

So what's the point of adding it for it to go cus even if I use my candy canes I will have more items that will then get deleted out of my inventory before I have a use for them

Honestly, I suspect that cookies and the cookie printer might be the only things that don't disappear after the update is finished, as I don't think they have limited time on their description like everything else.

But then again, they aren't the most useful item.

All in all, I just don't think any of this is staying. It may not make sense, but it's always disappeared before. Much like common, rare and super rares vanish after the update is over.

You can wait for Chute to respond, but I think the reason he hasn't is because we've already said it. Though it might be nice to get a CM or higher to confirm that.

What I'm saying is theres no point keeping the cookie items as they were realistically only added for that giveaway and carrots already exist that do the same role as the cookie. I'm saying that any item will get used overtime from the craftables and as a result the items in general will slowly deplete cus players will lose them. Therefore they might aswell not remove any of the items and allow players to simply use the items they chose to craft. This gies back to my question of which they plan on removing so I can go make a more in depth suggestion type post to get it voted against

I get what you mean, but I'm just going by what I've seen over the past few years. Even when Christmas craftables were first introduced, they've never kept any of them after the Christmas update was finished. Tends to happen with most, if not all updates.

The only things that are generally kept that aren't case items are items that are more like little mementos of the experience, e.g. the rotten food selection from Halloween, or the coal from Christmas every year.

I think the problem here is this is the first update (I think, I'm not 100%) where they've introduced craftables and none of them are keep able post-update, which leads to questions like this.

But despite all that, I see what you mean. It might be handy to know if they do plan on keeping anything this time so you can plan accordingly and use the candy canes before they expire. I mean, if you've got 1,000 of each cane, it's a little discouraging to have every single one of them be deleted after the update because you couldn't use them in time.

On that same line of reasoning, it might also be beneficial to introduce a small compensation scheme where players are given some kind of redemption for their useless items. Like canes translate to a certain amount of cash after the event or something. But I suppose that would run into the issue of just how much each cane is valued at, considering that if they valued each cane at 100 dollars, then someone with a 1,000 canes would still only get 100,000 dollars, which really isn't much. But if they were valued at 1 mil, then someone with a 1,000 canes would get a hundred mil back. Which might be seen as getting an unfair incentive or encourage players to simply disregard crafting things in the first place... Okay, might have just talked myself out of that idea.

I mean I see your points here but as a person myself that owns a few thousand of each different candy cane. I see no point in using them because I have no need to at this current stage and I dont exactly want them go to waste like they will if I craft items for the sake of it and then they get removed out of the blue. Along with this I assume the candy canes themselves will get removed meaning even if I dont use them to craft I still lose the items so why add then in first place. As u say the compensation if any would either be nothing at all or probably too much
