TOPIC: A new Half-Life game?!

It ain't Half-Life 3, but still, after 12 years since the release of Half-Life 2: Episode 2, this is the first game officially announced by Valve (that's related to the HL Universe). It's a VR Game and it's said to be set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

I wan't sure about buying but after I have seen the trailer I am 100% buying it when it comes out.

Wont be playing it because fuck spending all that cash on VR

Especially since more people use multiple monitors now, I find that with a lot of games I can't really have stuff open in the background when playing high performance games. My PC was fine when I had 16GB of RAM but I wen't back to 8GB and it is a very noticeable difference and stuff just works a lot smoother. And you can probably play the game with a GTX 970 it just may have a few little performance issues.

You also get some CSGO items related to the game and the game itself for free if you own an index and it's registered to your steam account before the end of the year.

I'm a bit sad that Valve decided to make it VR only but at the same time I'm excited to see what kind of an impact it will have on the industry. I can imagine VR becoming a more important thing if Half Life Alyx is a success.

I don't know about you but at least in Germany there are stores and online platforms where you can rent a VR setup for 30€-40€ a month.
Considering that I'd only play Half Life on VR I think it could be worth it to just rent it for a month.
