Windows 8.1 lol Windows 10 is good enough provided you disable all the annoying marketing stuff they throw at you by default A linux distro is pointless unless you want to re-invent the wheel to play some of your Steam games properly	.uzi Offline Former Community Manager Foos yer doos? Don't get Windows 7, it's almost the end of it's extended support and plus for my laptop at least, I had poor performance on it until I upgraded to Windows 10.

Windows 8.1 is just awful, I used to have it and the start menu is probably the worst thing going, performance degraded quick for me so I had to reinstall to run everything again until Windows 10 started working on my PC and kept that switch over with no issues.

Linux is for nerds who like typing commands a lot.
