TOPIC: [GOT SPOILERS] Thoughts on game of thrones?

So what are your thoughts on the finale and the season as a whole?

Looks like the general consensus is that the season really felt rushed and nowhere near on par with the first 5-6 seasons when it comes to down to the wittyness and cleverness of the show. Which I have to admit is pretty much true. Though last season delivered the most breath taking scenes ( The nightking walking to bran with the music in the back was just amazing ) and they really outdid themselves regarding the epicness of the battles and you can clearly tell they put a lot of budget in how they filmed everything it still felt... lacking in term of impact.

Every charachter's arcs just wrapped up one after the other leaving no time to digest what had happened that already the episode was moving to another story on the verge of ending. Many of the deaths though beautiful in the way they were depicted felt like a very cheap predictable outcome and rushed like cersei and jaime dying together is nice but once the original emotional impact of the scene vanishes I was left with a bad after taste of " Sooooo.... that's it? ".

Last episode pretty much was the same as the previous ones. Daenerys just get stabbed by jon and then... Time to elect a new king I guess? Nobody besides tyrion, jon and arya really seem to care about the whole city having been burnt to a crisp by a mad queen who murdered thousands of innocents and how that could affect the population of westeros. And even then the unsullied and dothrakis who only ever truly obeyed to their queen are kinda left out of the picture with a vague mention of them " wanting revenge " but settling for jon being sent to live his life on his own at the wall lol. Overall pretty dissapointed by the finale especialy with Bran ending up as the king which really makes it feel like they wanted it to end up on a sort of comedic note that doesn't really fit the theme of the entire serie.
